July 2001: PROQUIGA designs with the University of Santiago de Compostela a plant that improves the filtration of whey in milk

The Aula de Productos Lácteos of the University of Santiago de Compostela) presented a pioneering machine in Galicia, for improving food production, focused on the Spanish and international markets. In collaboration with PROQUIGA, supplier of ingredients and materials for the dairy industry and Tucal, manufacturer of stainless steel machines, they will develop plants that improve dairy whey filtration. The Chancellor of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Darío Villanueva, emphasized that: «The University must be able to place knowledge at the service of the economy».
